Youth & Family Ministry

Our Youth Ministry provides a welcoming, fun, and engaging environment where children and teens can grow spiritually, build meaningful connections, and explore Unity teachings in age-appropriate ways.

Unitots (ages 2-4) and Unikids (grades 1-5)

Our Clubhouse is a warm and inviting space where children can feel comfortable as they are. Each Sunday, kids participate in interactive lessons centered on Unity principles, along with games, creative arts, hands-on projects, and collaborative activities.

Children learn not only spiritual concepts, but also practical ways to show love, compassion, teamwork, and positive thinking in their daily lives.

Combined Teen Ministry: Uniteens (grades 6-8) and Youth of Unity (YOU) (grades 9-12)

Our Combined Teen Ministry meets on the first, second, and fourth Sundays of each month. Teens gather in a dedicated space on the 4th floor with Teen Sponsor Barb Mulvany, where they explore Unity teachings more deeply through discussion, reflection, and real-life application.

This environment encourages teens to think independently, express themselves authentically, and grow in confidence within a spiritual community.

Intergenerational Leadership Sundays

On the third Sunday of each month, all youth (Unikids & UniTeens) meet in The Clubhouse together. During this time, teens step into leadership roles by guiding younger participants through activities, projects, and group experiences.

These Sundays are designed to foster leadership skills, strengthen relationships across age groups, encourage teamwork and service, and build a strong sense of community within our youth ministry.

Our Youth Ministry at Unity San Diego is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and uplifting space where every young person feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow spiritually and personally.

The Five Basic Unity Principles for Youth teach us that:

  • God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.

  • I am naturally good because God's Divinity is in me and in everyone.

  • I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.

  • Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.

  • I do and give my best by living the Truth that I know. I make a difference!

Our Sunday Youth & Family Ministry meets at 10:00am. The YFM classroom is located on the second floor of the Tower. The combined teen ministry classroom is on the fourth floor the tower.
