Volunteer Opportunity

Are you looking for a service commitment that fits into your schedule?  We are in need of volunteers to fill empty slots for ushers, greeters, and the welcome table for both services on Sunday.  Do you have a desire to express your creative talents?  CCU needs help keeping our campus bulletin boards up to date with all of the activities here at CCU.  You will be provided with materials and then free to add your own creative style!  We can use several volunteers as we have several bulletin boards!  This position is best suited to people who have free time during the week: Mon-Thurs, 9:30-2:30. Sound Board Operators

We are looking for some volunteers to learn how to run our sound board during our Sunday services. Some "techie" skills appreciated but not required. You will be trained in all that you need to do. We are looking for people to handle either the early or late service (or both!), which means we need 4-6 people including alternates. If you feel called to serve in this way, please contact John Fistere at JFistere@cox.net.

Youth Education Volunteers

We have a Youth and Family Ministry as we know that sometimes we need the help of others with our children. Some say it takes a village to raise a child. Become a part of our “village”- our Youth and Family Ministry – we have need for volunteers. You will be provided with all the information and materials you need. You will never be alone as we are dedicated to keeping our children safe by having two adults in our classrooms. We need classroom teachers and assistants. You can commit to the level of involvement in which you are comfortable. We also need for helpers beyond the classroom, volunteers who can work on service or social projects or transportation are also welcome to join us. Transportation Volunteers

There are people who would like to attend church but have no transportation...

Could you give one of your neighbors a ride to church? We have members who need transportation to church. You can volunteer for one or more Sundays a month for the service of your choice. Please give Rebecca at the front desk a call, 619-280-2501, ext. 101if you can help!

Volunteers of the Month

November 2008

Our November volunteer was Neal Macurda. Neal has been one of our Licensed Unity Teachers for over 20 years, and has taught many classes. He has served on the Finance Committee, and currently is the President of the Altadena Blessing Corporation.

December 2008

Our December volunteer was Jean Sweetwood. Jean is a charter member of CCU, and currently serves on the Board of Altadena Blessing Corporation. She has always been a great support to CCU. Thank you, Jean!
